Slash Quest is a fighting game where you control a talking sword rather than the character wielding it. You move by swinging left or right and pressing run to move forward. It's a simple mechanic that is intentionally unwieldy and uses ingenious fighting and puzzle solving in interactive ways. This combines with an evolving challenge and interesting characters to create a unique adventure game.

Unlike the usual power fantasy, you are a diminutive knight with a big heart, an even bigger weapon, and absolutely zero skills. Ironically, the more powerful and longer the sword gets the harder it is to control.

You progress by swinging the sword to slice enemies, solve puzzles, unlock doors and cross perilous rivers. In this way you work through the 12 large levels and steadily unlock more abilities. There's some lite role-playing as you choose which abilities to lock into your weapon, as well as which clothes your hero should wear.

Content Rating

This game has not yet been rated, but we anticipate it is likely to be rated PEGI 7.

Rated in App Store 12+ for Infrequent/Mild Profanity or Crude Humor, Frequent/Intense Cartoon or Fantasy Violence.

Although not rated, we think this is likely to be PEGI 7+ and ESRB EVERYONE 10+. The language is tongue in cheek and the violence is cartoon in nature and directed towards vegetable characters. You do slice them in two and see their insides, but there is no blood or gore.

Skill Rating

7+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game.
