Play OverviewPlay Overview

Speedy Roll (2019) (also known as Hedgehog Roll) is an action dexterity game where you roll the hedgehog (a fuzzy tennis ball with eyes) to collect woodland items that stick to it. This determines which path you can take through the forest to get back home before the fox.

Each time you play you set out a different forest path with the modular board. If played competitively you take turns to roll the ball and then move accordingly, but you have to be careful not to collect five items or you are not allowed to move. If you are playing cooperatively you take turns moving the same hedgehog and race the fox piece.

There are some advanced rules to make it more physically challenging, like having to have your elbow on the table or throwing with your non-dominant hand. Either way, it's a fun and charming game for really young players.

Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Speedy Roll 23 months ago. It was re-examined by Jo Robertson and updated 4 days ago.
