Play Overview
SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake (2023) is a whimsical running and jumping game based on the longstanding Nickelodeon cartoon. In a magical world of pirates and cowboys, you run, jump and glide through several different areas, fighting enemies and unlocking secrets. It combines an original SpongeBob story with these classic platforming elements and new abilities to create a unique adventure.
When SpongeBob and Patrick find mermaids' tears that grant them their wishes, the fabric of the cosmos starts to collapse, opening portals into worlds full of pirates, knights, cowboys, and prehistoric creatures. You play SpongeBob and explore these seven worlds, with Patrick (transformed into a balloon) at your side as you fight monsters to save Bikini Bottom.
Play focuses on traversing the many stages, using double jumps, a glider, rolls, and stomps to navigate vast drops, avoid obstacles and defeat enemies. Along the way, you meet classic SpongeBob characters and find costumes to wear that grant you special attacks, like a karate kick, that makes defeating enemies easier (and often more comedic).
The result is a fantastical and entertaining adventure within the SpongeBob universe that provides fun jokes and a simple yet rewarding challenge for gamers of all ages.
It's the most recent game in the SpongeBob SquarePants line of games:
