Spooky Chase is a running, jumping game where you play a ghost collecting a series of flags. However, each route you take to a flag is then followed by enemies when you go after the next one. You play each level multiple times to collect each flag, but must carefully plan and time your route to avoid hazards, and your previous self.

Every movement you make towards the flag is recorded and then, replicated by the monsters. Not only the path but the speed, pauses and jumps. It creates an unusual layered challenge where you are your own enemy, that get complex if you don't think ahead.

Along with the campaign levels is an Endless Mode where you choose a stage and try to collect many flags as possible before you die. Or you can play with 4 others, each collecting flags and leaving enemy trails, to see who survives the longest.

It's a really hard game but as the penny drops and the layered gameplay starts to make sense, it's great fun to weave in and out of your previous routes. You can also unlock different characters and outfits to play as and enhance the multiplayer modes.
