OverviewOverview

Super Smash Bros. in its various versions offers real-time brawling battles. The tens of characters are drawn from other video games and each has bespoke moves to learn and perfect.

It looks like a cartoony kids game, but each character takes time and practice to learn. They all have different attacks and ways to move around. This can mean that those with more experience do better in family battles, but there's always a chance for everyone to win.

A big part of the appeal is the lighthearted fun, along with the huge range of characters drawn from other video games including Super Mario, Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Star Fox, Kirby, Yoshi and Pokémon.
