Play OverviewPlay Overview

Tembo the Badass Elephant (2015) is a side-on running, jumping and bashing game. You are an elephant called Tembo and can smash through objects on their mission to rescue the city from an invading evil army. Drawing on Sonic, Donkey Kong Country and Yoshi's Island this is a frantic game that focuses on the joy of breaking things. Like those classic games though, this is a tough challenge, especially if you die and have to restart a level.

In comic book style, you control Tembo to charge through three levels each zone to then take on the boss stage. Your mission is to destroy as many of the enemies as you can, while rescuing innocent citizen prisoners on your way to the exit. You are then awarded a medal for rescuing all hostages.

You have different destructive powers. You can smash objects with your tusks, jump or dash into things, punch and stomp down onto things. These abilities need to be used to solve simple momentum and destruction puzzles as well as rush forward in mad destructive mayhem. You can also store water in his trunk to put out fires or shortcut electrical traps.

As you progress through levels you can discover all kinds of secrets, collectible peanuts and hidden rooms. You need to be careful not to destroy things too quickly or your way may be blocked to access them.
