Play OverviewPlay Overview

That's Not Lemonade (2018) is a push-your-luck card game where you aim to be the last person to "drink" something that isn't lemonade. You take cards hoping to accrue the most Ice or Lemonade, but if you push things too far you are out. This means you play the cards and your opponents at the same time, making for a fun social experience about bluff and bravery.

Play involves shuffling the cards and placing them face down in a pile. Each player takes turns to take a card or to pass. If you get a Lemonade or Ice card you add it to your secret hand. If you get a That's Not Lemonade Card then you are out of the round.

You win a round by either being the last person standing or by having the most Lemonade cards in your hand if everyone decides to pass. Play continues in rounds until one person has won three rounds - they are the overall winner.

What makes this game enjoyable is the mix of pitting your bravery against the cards, whilst taking into consideration the actions of other players. There's also a funny puerile humour to the game - you are trying to drink Lemonade and not drink urine that kids of the right age love.

But still, it's a game that rewards people who are good at bluffing, good at decision making and tactically passing. Add to that the fact that is super portable and simple to learn and you have a perfect game to play with friends at a pub or party.
