Play is like other shooting games. However, the tactical element of destruction makes it all the more important to communicate with your teammates. Not only to take advantage of things falling down, but to coordination your explosive attacks to bring down the environment in ways that favour your plans. Add to this the goal of collecting and guarding boxes of cash and you have a really tactical team challenge.
Within this basic premise you can approach battles in your own way. Perhaps you do better sneaking up on enemy squads with a katana, or maybe you prefer ripping an entire building out from under their feet with explosives then there's the guns that create platforms you can run along to gain a surprise advantage. You can lean into these tactics by picking skills, weapons and gadgets for your character that work with your play-style.
The result is a novel twist on the shooting game. Other games have offered destruction, but The Finals take this to the next level. It integrates the falling masonry into gameplay, and makes it possible to destroy every last beam. Coming to PC first and then PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
