Overview
The Garden Path is a slice-of-life simulation game about the small pleasures of gardening. You tend to a world and make it your own through fishing, growing, trading and making new friends. As you do an adventure emerges.
After leaving your old life you head to the wilderness and discover a long-forgotten garden in the dense woods, waiting to be tended. Play involves exploring the space, planting and growing things. Unlike many gardening games the focus here is on a slower pace of life and the quiet moments of reflection.
Although you can play as long as you like, there's no need to spend hours here. Time proceeds in concert with the real world. Things grow while you are away, and the passing of real-world seasons heralds new encounters and new stories.
As you spend time in the world, charming inhabitants will come and go. Bunk, the tea-brewing macaque. Larto, a Greenlandic Musk Ox with a penchant for song-fish. The characters are strange and intriguing. Some will be passing through but as you tend your patch of land some visitors will make their home alongside your own.
The result is a calming game about slowing down and taking time. You can discover a tender world of familiar sights and sounds, melody, and friendly faces. A space to call your own, to curate, and to reflect.
Coming to PC this year, then Switch in 2022.
