The Little Acre is an animated adventure game set in 1950's Ireland. You play Aidan and his heroic daughter Lily, on a quest to find her grandfather. Like Monkey Island, this is a point-and-click adventure, but fully voice acted and animated like a classic Disney cartoon.

Play involves exploring each area with the mouse or gamepad, solving puzzles with the items you can find and combine. While many games like this make you combine seemingly random items to find the right combination, The Little Acre's puzzles can all be solved with a bit of logical thinking.

In this way you lead Aidan and Lily on a search that leads them through a strange new world. You soon discover that Lily is the real hero of the story. When Aidan disappears into a portal, she sets off after him, encountering her own perils along the way. Together they slowly solve the mystery and work towards finding Aidan's father.

The result is a brief adventure that leans on great acting, animation and logical puzzles to share its narrative. It's on the easy end of the spectrum, with plenty of hints to lead you through thing if you get stuck.
