The Swapper is a platform-adventure where you explore a damaged space station to collect orbs that open doors into other areas. Unusually, you can clone your character multiple times and then control it to help you solve puzzles and progress in various ways.

The game is set in the future where all natural resources have expired. Seven main planets in space are being used to extract new resources to be used on earth. You play as a scavenger visiting one of the stations that lost signal and crashed among one of the planets, you hear a women on the radio as the plot is slowly revealed to you. There's a dark brooding feel to the game, which reminds us of The Prestige where (film spoilers) being able to create multiple versions of yourself is both useful but horrifying when each one dies.

The game uses this ability to present a wide range of compelling and intriguing puzzles. You not only need to use your power intelligently, but must also work around areas lit by a red light that prevents you from cloning.
