OverviewOverview

The Touryst is a puzzle based adventure, where you seek to unlock the mysteries of an archipelago of sun-drenched islands. That's if you want to of course, because the adventure can wait if you'd rather soak up the sun and make the most of your time away by indulging in a little scuba-diving or spelunking; all of which is brought to life with a uniquely beautiful take on games from years ago.

The open-world nature of the game allows you to move around at your own pace, but as you engage with the main story, the secrets of the islands become yours to explore. Each island hosts a strange alien ruin, which presents the player with a variety of puzzle and platforming challenges set across a number of rooms. Complete the rooms and find the alien energy core from each island to solve the mystery.

As mini recreations of real-world places, the islands each have their own unique theme and activities. Ybiza is the beach party island, complete with its own dance-floor and partygoers, while Hawayy is everything you'd expect from a hula inspired recreation of Hawaii. The volcanic Fijy, greek themed Santoryn and central Leysure Island, provide the game with plenty of variety.

The more you explore the islands, the more fun mini-game activities you'll find to complement the light puzzle element of the main story. Those mini-games are made more interesting by the injection of additional challenges that can be found dotted around the island, so it pays to explore every nook and cranny.
