Overview
Play involves speedy running, jumping and climbing to find new areas of the island as the clock ticks down. More than just a race, you slowly discover the structure of the Minoan society, how they arranged civic responsibilities and dealt with money and work.
Each run adds more information to the persistent map that helps you solve key puzzles, before the world blows up and the loop restarts. You slowly find puzzles to solve that unravel the time looping conundrum.
Unlike other exploration platform games, you have all your abilities from the start. You can go pretty much everywhere, bar a little puzzle solving and some minor abilities. The amount you can do is a bit overwhelming at first, but as you chip away at it in each of your 15 minute runs you become familiar with the world. Also, because you start each of your runs from a different location, you get sample a wide range of environments before you have uncovered how they are all linked together.
The result is not only an unusual platforming game, but one that pairs artwork and soundtrack with intriguing exploration of this Bronze Age Aegean civilisation.

Age Ratings
Rated for younger players in the US. Rated ESRB TEEN for Language, Mild Suggestive Themes, Mild Violence, Use of Alcohol. From a 2D side-scrolling perspective, players traverse platforms, collect items, solve puzzles, and avoid enemy soldiers that shoot slow-moving bullets; getting hit results in cries of pain and resetting at a checkpoint. The dialogue references “a forbidden relationship between King Minos and his religious counselor,” and a joke about a “naughty priestess room.” One sequence depicts a hiccupping ghost amid wine vessels, and a cutscene shows characters praising the “great local wine,” with glasses of red liquid. The words “a*s” and “*!@?*” appear in the game.
Skill Rating
10+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. Still, it's important for parents and guardians to consider the maturity required to process the game content. The non-violent running and jumping exploration are ideal for younger players, although the looping and puzzle solving may need some input from older players.

Accessibility
If you die you just lose a bit of time rather than lives or progress, in this way the game is unfailable.
The game displays a marker and indication of the required button to highlight elements that can be interacted with, although this doesn't pop-up until you are near to them.
When you solve a puzzle or get something into place, the game displays a "Clack" word on the screen and makes a sound to indicate success.
