OverviewOverview

UnMetal is an adventure shooting game where you play Jesse Fox, who has been unjustifiably imprisoned in a military prison. Set in the early 70's and Drawing on 80's TV shows like The A-Team and games like Metal Gear, you escape using what you can find around the world to make improvised weapons.

Play involves punching, shooting and killing enemies, interacting with the pixelated environments to collect useful items. You can combine anything you find to create MacGuyver-style gadgets, weapons and explosives. As you progress you uncover a clandestine plot you need to overthrow.

It's a combination of stealth exploration combat with point-and-click style adventure item management. As you progress you gain experience and skills that open more options for dispatching with enemies.

Throughout the game are voice-acted characters and narration. It's all very tongue and cheek with loads of satirical culture, gaming and movie references. This, combined with the retro gameplay and exploration makes UnMetal an unusual game.
