Play OverviewPlay Overview

Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider is a running, jumping and fighting game like 90s classics Shinobi and Hagane: The Final Conflict. You play the Moonrider guardian that was created to defend a totalitarian state, racing through levels, attacking enemies and avoiding getting hit in a mission to find and defeat your creators.

Although the warrior you play was created to keep a dictatorship government in power, they reject this purpose and set out for vengeance against their creators. This sets up a classic run-and-gun challenge as you work through a series of side-scrolling levels.

Play is hard-hitting, snappy and responsive in the way of the classic games it draws inspiration from. As you progress you collect modifier chips that enable you to customize the Moonrider’s fighting style with killer advantages and abilities.

The result is not only an action-packed way to revisit classic games of yesteryear but a demanding experience in its own right.

Content Rating

Rated PEGI 12 because it features moderate violence and use of bad language. This game features unrealistic-looking violence involving human-like characters. It is possible for characters to be cut in half or to explode when being hit by projectiles. While there are some blood effects, there is no realistic gory detail, the violence is shown from a distance, and the pixelated visual style makes the violence unrealistic in nature. This game also includes use of bad language, including '*!@?*'.

Skill Level

10+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. Still, it's important for parents and guardians to consider the maturity required to process the game content. You need fast reactions and to be able to respond intelligently to each different scenario while under pressure.
