Warpips is combination of tower defence and real time strategy. Once you've set loose your forces you watch the physics-based combat unfold in front of you. This turns the focus from reactions or detailed strategy to picking the right tool for the job.
The result is a game that's really quick to pick up, but hard to master. As you learn the different unit synergies and strategic combinations you discover new ways to take on each scenario. As a first step into a strategic wargame it's a great option. But also for the hardened strategy veteran there's plenty to appreciate.

Rated for younger players in the US. Rated ESRB TEEN for Blood, Violence.
When people are shot there are splashes of blood. When they die they remain on the ground in a pool of blood. Players use guns and explosives with graphic effects including dismemberment.
10+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. Still, it's important for parents and guardians to consider the maturity required to process the game content. The focus of unit selection rather than direct control makes this a good game for people with prioritisation skills and attention to detail.
