Yoshi's Woolly World is a platform game of knitted yarn. You explore, jump and run your way around, solving puzzles and collecting items to complete each stage.

The villain Magikoopa Kamek turns all the Yoshis into bundles of yarn for his master Baby Bowser and scatters them across all the worlds. Players control the two Yoshis that manage to avoid being transformed and set off to rescue their woolly friends.

Yoshi now creates and throws yarn balls that he can use to clear blocked paths, tangle-up enemies, or knit together platforms and warp pipes. Players can tug at stray yarn to unravel walls and reveal hard-to-reach areas and possibly find hidden collectibles.

There is a full version of the game on 3DS/2DS called Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World. This adds some additional levels and the Poochy side-kick but it is only single player. The 3DS game offers enhanced assistance for young players as well as a Yoshi designer where you can draw your own colours and patterns on your character.
