Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure is a point-and-click adventure where you play Zack, a young pirate, and his golden monkey companion, Wiki, as they embark on a quest to find a legendary treasure. To play you explore the colorful levels solving environmental puzzles to progress. Shortly after joining a band of pirates Zack and Wiki discover a talking skull that tasks you with finding the rest of its body. In return, it promises to lead them to the Treasure Island. You use the Wii Remote to point and interact with each area as well as move the two characters around to get to the treasure chest and complete the challenge.

As you progress you also use the motion-sensitive controller to mimic real-world actions like pulling levers, turning keys, and pouring liquids. You can also shake the Wii Remote to turn any nearby enemies into tools for solving the current puzzle.
