Spooky Games That
Aren't Horrific

Whether at Halloween or other times of the year, people love games that spook and scare them. There are loads of games that offer experiences as disturbing as you want. However, it can be hard to find games that have a spooky or scary theme but don't take things "too far".

This is our list of spooky games that stay on the side of fun frights rather than dark disturbances. This ranges from games like Monster Prom that has some mature language but doesn't double down on the scares, to games like Costume Quest that take a tongue-in-cheek approach to scares.

This list includes 36 games from the last 23 years, with 479 likes. They come from a range of different genres and play-styles and are all good games if you want to get scared but not horrified.
