/ STYLES OF PLAY / Equipment / Go Online With Multiple Players On One Console
Playing video games with other people online usually requires each player to have their own console and copy of the game. However, some games let you go online with multiple players on a single console. This is usually 2-4 players in split screen mode on the game, then going online together. It's not only a way to access online modes with less investment in hardware, but it also enables better teamwork for the players on the shared hardware. For families this is a great feature when you are starting out with online games as you can play together and experience the online world with your child. It's also a lot of fun to team up in this way in competitive games. And, of course, with just two systems in the house it's great for parties where kids team up and compete online against each other.
