Overview
Each game you get assigning a Wonder board with unique advantages and powers. Over three rounds, you play cards to compete with other players for resources to build your wonder. Each round is a stage of building and has its own cards and feels distinct. Also, you increasingly see what other players are up to and the resources they need.
Some cards have immediate actions, but others come into play later for longer tactical advantage. For example, some cards provide a discount on later purchases or provide military strength to allow you to overpower your neighbours. After the three rounds the player with the most victory points is the winner.
The result is a card collecting and drafting game where you know immediately what your opposition needs to be successful and where the resources available to you dwindle as you play. What makes this game unique though is its three round structure combined with the three stages of building your Wonder. You need to be successful early, but also plan for success in the future rounds, leaving you with tricky strategic decisions to make at each point in order to be successful.
