OverviewOverview

BattleBit Remastered is a multiplayer shooting game where teams of over 100 players compete in environments where almost everything is destructible. The simple visuals and fragility of architecture result in opportunities to launch surprise attacks, and require you to quickly change your strategies on the fly. With lots of different classes to pick from, and a varied selection of weapons, character customisation, and game maps, it offers an experience similar to the Battlefield games, but with less graphic violence and realism, making it suitable for a wider audience.

In each of the many maps, you can destroy almost everything, including buildings, vehicles and other forms of shelter. This changes the flow of the game and forces you to come up with new ideas and tactics for succeeding as you play. You get to vote on which map you want to play next, and whether you want it to be day or night, giving each player a say in how the game is played.

You can take on a variety of roles, including a medic, a soldier, or a mechanic. Because of the large team sizes of up to 127, communication is key, and splitting off into smaller task groups will give you a better chance at victory. You can use the Proximity Chat to hear what other players are saying when they are near you in the game (both those on your team and opponents).

The game also offers plenty of different weapons, from grenades to sniper rifles and more, which allows each team member to use weapons that best suit their way of playing, be it methodical defence or headlong charges into enemy ground.

It's a unique (low-gore) take on the squad-based shooter genre, with a wide variety of modes and that destructible environment. All this, combined with the blocky, low-poly style broadens the suitability to include younger players and those with lower-performance computers, makes for a unique game and gameplay experience.

When you are hit, a blood-splatter effect appears around the edge of your screen, but there are no apparent wounds on any of the other characters. Dead and wounded players fall in the environment and can be seen on the floor.

The game includes Proximity chat that enables players to hear others around them, regardless of whether they are on the same team or friends.
