Play OverviewPlay Overview

Bonza Word Puzzle (2015) combines crosswords and scrabble. You create words by placing crossword fragments on a grid. There's a clue for each challenge to get you started, but the real puzzle is slotting the fragments together so all the words make sense and line up.

Play involves working through a series of these puzzles to score points. It's both minimalist and calming. There are also daily puzzles with themes based on current affairs. The result is a word game the feels a bit like solving a Rubiks Cube. It doesn't lean too heavily on vocabulary so it appeals to a wide audience.

Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Bonza Word Puzzle 23 months ago. It was re-examined by Jo Robertson and updated 18 months ago.
