Play OverviewPlay Overview

Botworld (2021) is a role-play battling game where you play a small creature in a huge explorable world. It's a bit like Pokemon. You discover new bots, collect scrap to craft items and work through a series of environments. It's an auto-battle game which means you assign the strategy and your team of bots execute without you controlling them. Play as a robot cat, dog, buffalo or lizards, customise your look and head out to hunt for scraps.

Along with the explorative play, you enter strategic battles. Your bots will leap, charge, stun or blast enemies for you. Your job is to pick the right abilities to stomp your foes. These abilities differ for each bot and can be customised and augmented with upgrades.

As you progress you discover, build and collect rare and powerful bots who join your team. There are different roles to cover: tanks, ranged fighters, speedy quick attackers. You need a balanced team if you are going to cope with the different enemies. Get the mix right and you have enough protection to extend your search to find new upgrade recipes and the rare scrap you need to build them.

The result is a light-weight role-play game that still has depth. It may be a bit easy for some, and does have in-game purchases if you want to speed things up, but generally there is plenty to do without spending a lot of money.
