Play OverviewPlay Overview

Build A Boat for Treasure (2016) (Roblox) is a strategy game where build your ship (or anything else) from different materials and set sail for adventure. Doing this successfully earns new items and materials for your next build. Although this churn does encourage in-game purchases, it stands out for its evolution from simple Minecraft-style block building to powerful and flexible build tools like traditional Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems.

Play involves designing your vehicle any way you want. Once you are happy with what you have made you can click to set sale and make your way down the river, avoiding obstacles that may destroy your boat. If you make it to the end you are rewarded with new items for your next build.

When you join the game you are added to a team that can work together to build and share materials. Each team is coordinated by a team leader, indicated by a crown. There are specific quests to find and complete in the game, along with building such as finding teleporting blocks, surviving dragon attacks or getting to the treasure under certain building conditions.

As you progress you gain more interesting materials and items. By carefully using block properties (weight, strength and so on) you can make boats that fly, and have suspension and hinges. Players also strategically plan the placement of blocks and use of strengthening multi-blocks to minimise the likelihood of the boat being damaged or their character touching the water.

The result is a game that offers a huge amount of flexibility to how you build and play. Along with the more advanced building and design tools, players have found various tricks to achieve specific designs or make funny things happen.
