Call of the Sea Review
Posted: 7 weeks ago.
Unlike many adventures, there is no combat. Instead, progress is through solving situational puzzles. Taking inspiration from games like Firewatch, Myst, Soma, and Subnautica, The Call of the Sea invites you to step into someone else's shoes. "Call of the Sea isn't a descent into madness but a rise to sanity," said the developer.
While you explore the tropical island, what becomes apparent is that this is a much about our female protagonist as it is about any external mystery. Investigate the clues left by a previous voyage, piece together what happened, and solve a variety of clever puzzles. The result is a branching story with different endings depending on your choices and interactions.
