Play OverviewPlay Overview

Cyber Trigger (2020) is a retro running, jumping and shooting game. You play a space adventurer answering a distress call from a planet overrun with alien robots. It's a love letter to classic pixelated platform games with a mix of cave adventure, combat, and underwater exploration.

You have three lives in this game and a laser gun to shoot the alien robots and giant creatures that inhabit this world. Holding the jump button allows you to jump higher, and movement is restricted to one plane only. As you progress you can collect coins to upgrade your weaponry from various stores scattered throughout the level.

Losing all three lives returns you to the last visited store. You can find keys to unlock new areas and will eventually encounter the final boss to rid the planet of the alien robot menace. Shoot through mud walls, swim through flooded caves and unlock treasure chests while avoiding alien fire and dripping toxic slime.

It's an impressive and convincing retro style adventure with a lot of environments within a single level. Atmospheric music and bright colourful graphics and challenging gameplay make this a game not to miss.

Our examiner, Andrea Walney, first checked Cyber Trigger (Dreams) 2 years ago. It was re-examined by Jo Robertson and updated 20 months ago.
