You perform light maintenance on your ship while traveling through mysterious and dangerous worlds. The main game play is learning to steer and pilot your ship (with its atmospheric and newtonian flight model) to explore distant systems, mine for resources and upgrading your ships systems.

Earth Analog is a relaxing game, with the occasional tense moments. The planet environments and inutitive piloting make for a tranquil and meditative ride. Add to this the vast universe to explore and an intriguing story and you have an unusual game.
