OverviewOverview

Eidolon is a narrative game where you slowly explore a massive, post-human Western Washington. Unlike other action-oriented adventures, here you navigate an open world without threat. It's simply been reclaimed by nature, so your task is to discover journals, letters and magazines to piece together interconnected stories of the people who lived here once.

Play involves walking through the mysterious landscape to find those documents. You have binoculars, a bow and a journal and map to help you. The real skill required here is a curiosity for history and what people leave behind that was once so important to them.

As you progress, day wanes and night falls, what strikes you is the lack of progression. You trudge through the dreary Western Washington landscape with little to guide your way. But push through this and you find the world is filled with wildlife, edible plants, and the memories of our now-dead culture—stored.
