Play OverviewPlay Overview

Farworld Pioneers (2023) is a colony-building strategy game where you must adapt to extreme elements, grow self-sufficient communities and deal with aliens. It's a game with simple visuals but surprisingly open play, as you collect resources, develop technology and craft a home-from-home on the new planet.

Finding yourself crash-landed in a strange world, you work to survive. It's all played from side on with simple visuals. But this offers a world of possibilities for how you want to deal with the challenges you face. Warmth, shelter and food are only the start of what you need in this sandbox game. You take on changing weather conditions, seek out unique resources to research new technology and slowly take control of the planet.

As you progress you meet other characters and can assign them tasks to help create your base. Manage their needs well and help you go from survival to expansion. Venturing out often results in fast-paced combat with real-world physics - bullet drop, projectile speed, and spread all need to be considered.

The result is a game that draws on the building and exploration fun of Terraria but takes this in a more physics-based direction. The fun here is in discovering new items and weapons and then experimenting with them in the world for, sometimes, unexpected results.
