The beauty of the world through which they pass and the singular confidence of Kratos in battle make the unfolding of their relationship both fascinating and at times heartbreaking. Atreus needs care and nurturing rather than protection from his father, something which, like the gorgeous world they traverse, takes the whole game to fully navigate.
