Happy Atoms Review
Posted: 6 weeks ago.
The full set gets you physical models of 16 different atoms that snap together with magnets to build molecules. Once you have snapped them together in the real world you scan them into the game to discover whether you have made them correctly and investigate their properties.
The characters and quests you meet keep things on the gaming end of the learning spectrum. You are led through challenges that get you understanding how atoms do (and don't) connect, and why that is.
"Chemistry is an incredibly important subject that many students never fully grasp. Knowledge of chemistry is necessary to solve many real-world problems, but the way chemistry is taught now often fails to capture students’ imaginations, discouraging experimentation and discovery. Happy Atoms aims to change that by offering a chemistry learning experience that sets itself apart."
The result is a tactile game that lets you discover the differences between elements for yourself, physically feel the forces that bond them together and experiment to invent new ways to combine them.
