Play OverviewPlay Overview

Harlow (2022) is a rolling and jumping game about two clumsy robots planning a surprise party for the frozen colonists. You play by directing your round droid through the levels, jumping swinging and bashing into things. It stands out for the gentle feel, forgiving challenge and simple controls.

You play a robot that's light years off-course, low on power, and has one critical goal: throw an epic surprise party so the colonists don't freak out when they defrost. To do this you must explore the levels to find the supplies you need to transform the ship from a cold wayward vessel into a stellar celebration.

It's a game where you must work with real physics. This means you jump, roll, and fling yourself to get through each area's blockages and challenges. Unlike platform games like Ori and the Blind Forest, the challenge is intentionally forgiving. Controls are simple drag and release and if you die you can start again from where you left off.

The result is a game about bouncing around and having fun. But also it's a game about remaining hopeful when life seems to be impossible. The plucky little robot, chilled out vibe and generous intentions of the game maker combine to create an approachable and endearing experience.
