Combat is relatively simple, with you selecting and timing different attacks. You need to co-ordinate between the two characters and get the rhythm of attacks right to be effective. The greater focus is on exploration of a huge planet with someone you care about. As you go you collect resources to develop your camp. You can also craft items and food to enhance your abilities.
Throughout the game is a focus on the companionship and relationship of the two characters. From dialogue between them, exploring together to selecting complementary attacks and even mealtimes, hugging and kissing restore health, the game establishes what is essentially a love story set in space.
