OverviewOverview

Hexagroove is a rhythm game where you mix music using an intuitive and tactical control system. Each level sets goals for you to combine musical loops in real time. Success is not just a matter of matching instructions but creating expressive music and engaging the virtual crowd.

Gameplay combines select different loops and effects using the joysticks and buttons. You need to pay attention to feedback from the crowd while also making satisfying mixes. You move from contemplative to frantic creations through ten dance music genres. Into this system are interspersed rhythm action mini-games like Guitar Hero.

As you progress you unlock new musical loops, DJ tricks, and club venues to play in. There are over 700 instrumental loops that combine with rhythmic elements and audio filters to offer an expansive experience. You can improvise with sound effects and combos as well as trigger DJ tricks to maximise your score.

The game includes content from well known dance music cretaors: Mr. YT (Yuji Takenouchi), missingsoul, Legowelt, CYLON, Runners Club 95, no. 9, SEXY-SYNTHESIZER, DÉ DÉ MOUSE, Kristoffer Wallman, lallow, DISPOSABLE, Junya Nakano, and Yasuo Sato.
