After completing a level, the saved Pikmin are sent to the Pikmin Park, an area where Pikmin can look for more objects with sparklium. more sections open up as you complete sections of the park. The game is compatible with every Amiibo released before the game's launch, which provide a variety of in-game bonuses. A Pikmin-themed Amiibo was also released at launch.
Other Pikmin games include the following:
- Pikmin (2001) on Gamecube and Wii
- Pikmin 2 (2004) on Gamecube and Wii
- Pikmin 3 (2013) on Wii U
- Hey! Pikmin (2017) on Nintendo 3DS in 2017
- Pikmin 3 Deluxe (2020) on Nintendo Switch
PEGI Rating of 3+ because it features occasional, very mild violence in a comical context.
ESRB Rating of EVERYONE 10+ because players traverse platforms and hazards as groups of “pikmin” aliens follow and assist him with tasks: removing obstacles; navigating chasms, water; battling "cartoony" enemies (e.g., ducks, snails, giant plants). Players can toss pikmin repeatedly at enemies to deplete creatures' health meters; enemies close their eyes and slump to the ground when killed. During the course of the game, pikmin are sometimes depicted drowning in water or burning in fire. Boss battles require more prolonged combat, as giant creatures sometimes eat or crush pikmin.
