OverviewOverview

Hoa is an adventure game where you walk and jump through a hand-painted world as the mysterious main character. You solve environmental puzzles and meet magical creatures while trying to find your way back home. It's unusual because of its handcrafted visuals and design that create a warm and surprisingly relaxing experience.

Play involves jumping and running to bring life back to the world. You discover the world and meet friends as you piece together who you are and where you need to go. Some will find the narrative overly simple, but for younger players, it's a perfect bedtime story.

As you progress you can gain abilities from collecting butterflies. This lets you jump and run to parts of the game you couldn't previously reach. There are puzzles, but these aren't likely to mean you get stuck. The game leads you through every moment.

Made by a Vietnamese studio, the title of this game means "Flower" in Vietnamese. The look and sound of the game is inspired by the wonders of nature and by the animated style of Studio Ghibli films. It is designed to be a cute, peaceful and relaxing experience. It's unusual both for its aesthetic and the journey you take back to the start of the story.
