OverviewOverview

Jet Lancer is a high-speed air combat game, similar to Luftrausers (and much older inertia shooting games like Virus/Zarch), where you pilot giant robots to deal with Sky Pirates. The novelty here is the nuanced and instinctive control of the craft. The speed and the unusual controls can flummox players at first, but give it time and it soon clicks.

As Ash, You work from rookie aviator to ace pilot in the 30 levels of the single-player story mode. You earn upgrades and extensively customise your craft. Although the gameplay is different, the characters and story visuals have the feel of Advance Wars to them. You can then take on harder, faster levels against relentless AI with new attack patterns and extra upgrades for your ship to provide a fresh experience.
