Your aim is to stop enemies taking over the world. You do this by collecting and leveling up creatures to use them in the matching puzzle-battles to defeat each enemy. Similar to Candy Crush, you arrange creatures of the same colours in columns and rows to activate them. This sends an attack on the enemy's army or creates a barrier to protect your own.
As you progress, you gain a wide range of creatures and develop their abilities. Choosing which to upgrade and which to bring to each match adds a level to strategy. Each creature has different attacks such as stunning the enemy or throwing rocks.
Although the game is free, you are limited in how often you can play unless you buy diamonds with real money to gain more goes. You can also advance more quickly by spending money to get coins and unlock creatures and abilities in (what is often unpopularity described as) pay-to-win fashion.
Players: This is a single player game. You can play with up to 20 players online. There are different game modes where you can play online against other single players in rounds or join a group to play with. Groups can fight each other online or take on a campaign where you fight enemies alongside your teammates.
Cross-Platform: Can play online across iOS and Android.
You don’t need a paid subscription to play this game online. This game encourages you to spend money on diamonds which is used as a currency in the game to buy coins and energy refills.
