OverviewOverview

Marsupilami: Hoobadventure is a comic book inspired running and jumping game with some puzzles.
You jump on and over platforms, avoid spikes and other hazards while you collect special items to unlock extra areas and secret levels. It's unusual for a combination of cartoon visuals and approachability for younger players.

As you progress through each of the 22 different levels (and 6 bonus levels) you collect fruit and feathers. It's a straightforward left to right progress but you need to keep an eye out for where collectibles are. Along with jumping you can use your long tail to swing to hard to reach areas.

The result is a game like Donkey Kong Country but approachable for very young or novice players. A lot of the fun comes from trying to collect everything, replaying levels to find all the items. There are also time trial challenges to take on. The attacks are also a lot of fun, as you chain together different movements and attacks.
