Play Overview
Moncage (2021) is an adventure puzzle game, where you find a mysterious cube. Each face displays a different scene and by rotating and interacting you can change your view and how they overlap with each other. You navigate through the island and the factory by finding the connections among the scenes.
Play involves deciphering each scene that reveals a montage world: an old factory, a light tower, an amusement park, or a church. At first they seem random and unrelated, but as you inspect them you discover subtle and intricate ways each of these worlds connect.
As you progress through the puzzles, you use your imagination to find the connection and pinpoint every possible interaction between different sides of the cube. This then triggers the scenes to change and unfold in front of you. But more than the individual puzzles, there's a twisting story to uncover with each connection. You collect photos from obscure corners and angles to reveal the narrative one scene at a time.
The result is a game that offers an unforgettable experience in the world that is trapped in this cube. It's like a snow globe that changes as you move it and leaves you with a sense of awe and wonder.
