The game has a very laid back casual flow to it, but there are mini games that include sometimes include high stress gameplay with loud noises, rapid button pushing/holding, flashes, camera shake, and vibration. Only vibration can be disabled in the options menu. Doing well at these events are not necessary to progressing the story.
Each of the main character's dialog in the the text is also differentiated by color in addition to placement.
