Play OverviewPlay Overview

Roller Champions (2022) is a roller-skating sports game. It's a full-contact battle where you complete laps to score points while keeping opponents at bay. While it may sound a little goofy, considerable skill is required to manoeuvre your player and gain speed. Experts can use their momentum to glide up walls and cleverly dodge opponents while ensuring teammates maintain their motion. Like Rocket League it's a game that encourages teamwork and a healthy competitive spirit.

It's first to five points to win. You score by throwing the ball through a hoop on the side of the circuit. For it to count, you need to have taken the ball around the small circuit without it going to the other team. Each subsequent lap adds another point to the goal's value when you eventually score. You have to balance going for more laps against the increased risk of losing the ball.

To aid your progress, you need to build up speed and momentum by skating up the steep slopes on either side of the circuit, before rushing back down. You can then use your speed to dodge opponents and tackle the player with the ball. When you win a match, you earn followers that increase the size of the crowd of fans that turn up to your game, and you can freely customise your avatar to suit your style.

With its fast-paced and uniquely competitive online gameplay, it's a great game for players of all ages. Teenagers and more adept players will appreciate the nuances in the challenge of teamwork required to do well.
