Runbit (and its sister app Map Hunt) is a treasure hunt game you play by running or walking in the real world. As you run a map is displayed of your area with stars to collect on pavements, moving monsters to outwit and avoid and moving animals to track down and catch.

This is different to the narrative-led running games like Zombies Run, as it offers a geographical challenge and on the fly route planing each time you go out. It is a little less complex than Run An Empire as you don't have to worry about territory or upgrades. In this way it also works well for younger children on walks, like Pokemon Go.

There's support for Garmin and Apple Watch so you don't have to have your phone out while you are running.
