Play OverviewPlay Overview

Secret Shuffle (2022) is a rhythm game where up to 60 players dance to music and have to try and spot who is listening to the same track as they are. Play combines aspect of Twister and Silent Discos to create a game that's both approachable and fun. It's unusual because the action happens in the room rather than on the screen, but the app is essential for creating this fun dancing experience.

Play involves selecting a game mode, putting on headphones and dancing. The exact challenge depends on the mode you select.
  • Pairs: Find the one other player dancing to the same music as you. Split mode has half the people dancing to the same music and tries to find each other.
  • Fakers mode has everyone dancing to the same music except two players who hear no music and try to get away with faking it.
  • Status: Freeze when the music stops.

The game offers all sorts of music to dance to. If you can hear it, you can dance to it. Electronic music, Classical music, Hip Hop, Salsa, Future Bass, Heavy Metal, but also animal sounds, environmental ambiences, and household appliances.

The result is a light-hearted game about movement and music that works well in groups of all ages and abilities. Whether for a child's party or after the pub or dinner party it's a lot of fun.

Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Secret Shuffle 2 years ago. It was re-examined by Jo Robertson and updated 15 months ago.
