Overview
This is a World War I fighter pilot game set during the Bloody April battles. You pilot one of 10 aircraft from the WWI era and take on missions as a single-player before challenging friends to the multiplayer, split-screen battles.
There are 100 different missions and unlockable comics based on the real history of Bloody April. You can also earn ways to customise your plane and upgrades for your flying and combat abilities.
There is an earlier, sister game, Ace Academy: Skies Of Fury available on iOS and Android. This offers a similar experience, although it’s free to start and you can buy upgrades to your plane. The Switch version benefits from the proper gamepad control rather than the touch screen and tilt of the smartphone.
