Play OverviewPlay Overview

Subwords (2019) is trivia spelling puzzle game. Unlike other spelling challenges, words are split into syllables rather than letters. You tap them in order as fast as possible. Each level has a topic or theme that you need to learn to find the words.

If you are stuck you can click the bulb for a hint. There are 45 levels, ranging from animals and fruits to European countries, our solar system or greek mythology. There are also 20 bonus levels built specifically for kids up to an age of 8 years. You play each level in classic-endless or timed-limited modes.

The result is a game that is not only a good puzzle, but builds knowledge and understanding of words and syllables.

Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Subwords 2 years ago. It was re-examined by Jo Robertson and updated 10 months ago.
