Overview
The game can be played against the clock and score or competitively with other players. Here you race to get the highest score while earning problematic bricks or hazards to slow down other players by completing multiple rows simultaneously.
The basic format has been translated into a wide number of games on every system. Of note, Tetris 99 on the Nintendo Switch is a version where 100 people battle each other to be the last man standing as in Fortnite, but here you have to stack shapes tidily and quickly to win rather than shoot opponents.
Tetris Effect on PlayStation VR is a version of the game on PlayStation 4 that combines play with music for a relaxing experience that also works on PlayStation VR. Tetris Effect Connected is a version of the game that offers a calm Tetris experience as well as a collaborative and competitive multiplayer.
