OverviewOverview

The Ramp is a relaxed skating game where you perform stunts, jumps and flips with no timers, penalties scores or objectives. It's this simplicity that, along with its deep-yet-simple controls and laidback soundtrack, make it a uniquely calm and meditative experience.

After completing a simple tutorial, you're free to skate on any of the four tracks: a swimming pool, a skate park, a half-pipe and a huge ramp. You gain speed when on the ground, then when in the air, you can combine spins with special moves to create lots of different moves.

Landing is perhaps the most challenging part, as you need to ensure you're correctly lined up, or else you fall and have to start again and regain your momentum. The controls, while simple to grasp, take some time to fully master, meaning, like real skateboarding, a lot of practice is required to get really good.

The lack of any objectives, achievements, points or time limits means you're free to freestyle for as long as you choose and in whatever way you want; it's up to you whether you go for the highest, most complex jumps, or simply perform small flips and simple wall-grinds. It's this flexibility and laidback nature that make it stand out.

AccessibilityAccessibility

Our The Ramp Accessibility Report documents 23 accessibility features:
There is a hardcore difficulty, which reduces the leniency on landings, making the overall game more challenging. You need quick reactions regardless of which difficulty you play on, as you move equally quickly on both.

Much of the text is large and high contrast, but there are exceptions to both, where text is small, low contrast or both.

The colours used are vibrant and help you to distinguish your character from the background. All objects in the levels themselves are large and easily discernible.
