Play OverviewPlay Overview

The Stillness of the Wind (2019) is a narrative puzzle game where you play an old woman who looks after a dilapidated farm. Over the course of a few hours, no matter what your efforts, the farm falls apart as you learn about the woman’s family and have the chance to ruminate on her loneliness and happy memories.

It's a slow game that goes at its own pace. As you work through each day you have to give in to the languid countryside and have time to reflect on the old woman's life, family and future. Themes of age, loss and the grief of the world moving on are woven through the story.

Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked The Stillness of the Wind 4 years ago. It was re-examined by Jo Robertson and updated 4 months ago.
